Ron was born in Grimshaw AB, and then moved to Rimbey AB at an early age. There, he was raised by his loving Grandparents on a farm near Rimbey until the age of 15. At that time he moved to Edmonton to live with his Mother and younger Brother. Ron still resides in and calls Edmonton home.

Ron became a member of the City of Edmonton Police Department at the age of 20 and remained with the City of Edmonton Police Department for 15 years. He then moved in the Fraud Section of the Province of Alberta for 7 years. Ron then proceeded to own and operate an Alarm Business for many years. At the present time Ron is in Real Estate with Re/Max Real Estate and has been for the past 21 years.

I was born in a land far away, a long time ago, (Calgary in 1957), the oldest of seven children, six boys and a girl. Raised in a solid Catholic family and attending Catholic schools during my formative years. I spent twenty-four years working in the trades in Fort Saskatchewan. I traveled a rather circuitous and at times challenging route in finally arriving at St. Joseph’s Seminary in August 1999. Like most of us, I took the trial and error route before I finally realized that God was indeed in charge and not me. At a particular point in my life I also realized that God had been walking with me all along, but that He had been patiently waiting for me to ask Him for a little guidance.

Ferdie (FYM) Mendita was born on December 17, 1959 in Baguio City, the summer Capital of the Philippines, the eldest of Constante and Mercedita Mendita’s  7 children .  After 10 years, the family moved to his maternal home town in Southwest of Manila where he met his childhood friend and now wife, Merle Aceron, of 29 years. In 1980, he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering degree from Adamson University, Manila, Philippines. After graduation, he started working in Philex Mining Corporation, Philippines, the country’s largest Miner as a Shift Engineer. Shortly after, he was promoted to Assistant Mill Superintendent.

Gaston was born from an Irish Mother and Native Father. Growing up as a bilingual kid, Gaston graduated from Université Laval with a Lic. Sc. Administration (B.Comm.), majoring in Accounting and Psychology. He worked as an articling student for a CA firm in Calgary for 4 years and then joined Revenue Canada for 3 years – Junior Auditor.

John is a former Quebecer born, raised and educated in Montreal. He is married to his wife Judee and has three wonderful children and two grandchildren.

He was educated for a career in electronics engineering but as economic and market conditions changed he found himself working with computers.

Andy Soshalski

Andy Soshalski

State Warden

Andy Soshalski was born in Moscow, Russia, January 25, 1961. At that time Christians were persecuted in the Soviet Union, so his parents did not baptise him at birth. He was baptised at the age of twenty in Russian Orthodox Church.

Andy graduated from Moscow University with a Bachelor’s Degree in English. In 1993 he got his Ph. D. in English from the same University.

Charles Russell

Charles Russell

Immediate Past State Deputy

Charles joined the Knights of Columbus on April 29, 1979 in Bradford, Ontario. (Council 4915). He became part of the First Degree team but was transferred to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia before the team was certified.

Charles transferred into Council 7302 in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia and became active and was a member of the First Degree team.
