State Website Content Submission
I have content that I would like posted on the state website. How do I get it posted.
Please email your request content with attachments to the State Office for approval. Content should come in the form of plain text copy with photos attached separately. Please understand that while we take all submissions seriously, for various reasons, we cannot accept every submission.
If my content is approved, how long will it take to be posted on the website.
Once content has been approved it is usually uploaded fairly quickly, however, it can take up to two weeks to accommodate your request. We recommend having your post submitted at least 2 weeks prior to when you want it posted. Please note that we do have the ability to have a post go active on a specific date. So if your post is time sensitive, it is better to submit it early and let us know that it should not go live on the website until “X” date.
Of course, with that said, we do understand that it is sometimes impossible to submit early, in which case we request you contact us to discuss what is possible.
I would like to submit photos of my council’s events to the state website, what is the process to submit these.
Since photos tend to take up a lot of room which makes emailing them to us difficult we ask that you speak to your council executive to have you appointed as a “photo submission representative” for your council. Once that is done, have someone from your executive pass your name and email address to our state office and we will get you added to your council’s photo submission folder. Once this is done, you will receive a link and you can upload your event photos in full resolution.
Are there any technical limitations for the photos I wish to post?
No, as long as you are using the method detailed above. With that said, you should be aware that our server will scale your photos down when we upload them to the website to preserve bandwidth usage.
Are there any content restrictions for photos I wish to post?
Absolutely no photos of minors are allowed to be posted to the state website. Any photos found to be in violation of this policy will not be posted to the website.
How do I download a photo from the gallery?
Click the picture(s) you wish to download which will enlarge them on your screen; right click on the enlarged image with your mouse and select save as then choose where you wish to save the photo and select Okay. For higher resolution photos/originals, please email your request to State Office/State Technology Assistant Chairman.
